Spanish government prohibits two demonstrations

Two activists yesterday in Iruña asking the release of Ines
According to Ateak Ireki, the spanish government delegation have prohibited two demonstrations in Tafalla (Nafarroa south basque country) and Iruña (Nafarroa south basque country). These demonstrations are going to ask the "respect of human rights for all the people and in particular the fulfillment of the last decision of the Estrasburgo court". The court of Estrasburgo was opposed to the "parot doctrine" (a special doctrine that is used to extend more the time that basque political prisoners are jailed).

According to the spanish government delegation in Nafarroa, the slogan of the mobilizations: "197/2006 stop the doctrine. No to life imprisonment. Free Ines" glorifies a person who was member of ETA and her actions. Ines Del Rio is a basque political prisoner from Tafalla at which parot doctrine has been applied. The demonstrations are called by "Herrira" (the main basque organization that fights in favour of political prisoners rights).

Herrira have said that they are not going to obey the prohibition and they have called to people to support the demonstration of this saturday in Tafalla. They have also submitted a denounce in the justice court of Nafarroa.
