Different events in honor of Angel Berrueta

According to Sare Antifaxista,  there are going to be different events in honor of Angel Berrueta. Angel Berrueta was a baker who was murdered by a spanish police and his son in Iruña (Nafarroa south basque country on 2004. After the train bombings of 11-M in Madrid, where more than 190 of people died, spanish government (ruled by right-wing PP) accused ETA of the attacks. Although the evidence indicated an Islamist authorship, spanish government was afraid of linking that attacks with their support to the war in Iraq and Afganistan.

These lies, increased the tension against basque pro-independence movement in south basque country. The wife of the spanish police, tried to put a poster accusing ETA of the attacks, Angel Berrueta (who was sympathizer of pro-independence movement and member of "Gurasoak" an association of support to basque political prisoners) denied to put that poster in his bakery. After that, the woman insult him and called his husband (he was a spanish police) and son. The son stabbed him and the father shot him with a gun. After his death, tension rised in basque country and another woman died (Kontxi Sanchiz) in Hernani (Gipuzkoa south basque country) when Ertzaintza attacked a demonstration in support of Angel Berrueta. There were incidents in all basque country and spanish police attacked Angel Berrueta friends and relatives in Iruña streets. The spanish police and his son were imprisoned but soon they were released.

The association of "Angel Gogoan" ("We remember Angel") have organized two events in his honor. The firs event is going to be the next 13 of March: Demanding "the truth, recognition and reparation". Tomorrow,
will be officially launched the association. They have also demanded the recognition of Angel Berrueta as a victim of a "politic conflict".
