Thousands of people protest in Iruña


Thousands of people have protested in Iruña (Nafarroa south basque country). They have asked to the government of Nafarroa an investigation about what have happened with the public bank of Nafarroa (CAN).

According to the data, the public bank of Nafarroa lost more than 1.000 of million value the last years under the rule of UPN (spanish unionist right-wing political party). Among the cases of corruption where there are important members of UPN and PP involved. The public bank of Nafarroa was sold far below the value of the last years. That was an important loss for the econmic sovereignty of Nafarroa.

Despite the rain, 5.000 people have supported the demonstration (supported by EH Bildu, Geroa Bai and Izquierda-Ezkerra, workers unions etc.). The demonstration was organized by an association called Kontuz! that is denouncing and investigating the different economic scandals in Nafarroa. Here a video with images of the demonstration:
