According to Sare Antifaxista, Euskotrain users have shown their displeasure by the presence of Guardia Civils (spanish military police) agents in the trains that run through Gernika (Bizkaia south basque country) and Zugaztieta. The last days, there have been three agents armed with machine guns in each coach and another two in the cabins that are between coaches.
Some of the users have said that "nothing can be done, because guardia civil agents do want they want", "we are in peace times, what are they doing armed in trains?". Guardia civil is one of the main forces that occupy south basque country. Guardia Civil have an special force of counter-terrorism called GAR.
