Foral police represses a protest in Ultzama

According to Ateak Ireki, an important number of Foral Police (Nafarroa regional police) repressed yesterday a protest against social cuts in Ultzama (Nafarroa south basque country). Yolanda Barcina (president of Nafarroa and member of the right-wing unionist UPN) visited the village hall. A little group of people, appeared with a banner written in basque with the next message: "Murrizketa gehiagorik Ez!" (No more cuts!). After that, Foral police recorded them in video and despite there were children finished the protest with pushes.

The social situation of Nafarroa is degenerating: The unemployment continues increasing (specially among youth people more than %40), evictions, cuts in education/healthcare/social services etc. Besides, UPN is one of the main responsible of the dissolution of Nafarroa public bank.
