The spanish army and "Ikurriña"

According to Sare antifaxista, Joseba Agirretxea (deputy of PNV/EAJ in Madrid) asked explanations in the spanish congress about the exhibition of an Ikurriña (basque flag) in a museum of spanish army as "taken from the enemy".

In the information that the museum offers to the visitor, that Ikurriña appears as "taken from the enemy during the spanish civil war on 1936". For the deputy of PNV/EAJ the text "was offensive for the people that suffered the consequences of defending that flag".

In my personal opinion, the Ikurriña was taken from the "enemy", the enemy of an imperialist and fascist state. The current spanish army is direct heir of Franco's army. No one of spanish charges were changed during the "transition".
