Offense against the executed of 1936 in Larraga

According to Sare Antifaxista, the monolith built in tribute to the people executed on 1936 by spanish fascist forces has been dirtied with paint in Larraga (Nafarroa south basque country).

The monolith was built on 2012, and it has 47 bullet holes. In Larraga there were 47 executed.

During the spanish civil war, thousands of basques were executed by spanish fascists forces in all south basque country. In Nafarroa, where regionalists collaborated with fascists, there were almost no fighting. Despite of this, 3.000 of basques were executed: Basque nationalists, communists, socialists, anarchists, trade unionists etc. In other basque provinces, the popular mobilization achieved to stop fascist offensive. In Gipuzkoa and Bizkaia were heavy fighting.
