A man commits suicide in Bilbo before being evicted

According to naiz, a man commited suicide yesterday in Bilbo (Bizkaia south basque country) before being evicted from his home. He has thrown himself from a 4. floor. It seems that he could not pay the rent more and when judicial delegation appeared to evict him, he commited suicide. "Stop kaleratzeak-Stop Desahucios" (an association against evictions) have protested against the mortgage law that is causing "deaths and pain".

In the afternoon, hundreds of people have protested along Bilbo streets. The demonstration have been organized by "Stop kaleratzeak-Stop Desahucios" and different social organizations, trade unions and political parties (Bildu, PNV/EAJ and PSOE) have supported it.
