"A brutal attack, a declaration of war" have said Hur Gorostiaga leader of Seaska (basque schools organization in north basque country) after the decision of Patrick Dallennes (french government delegate in Iparralde). He has forbidden to give help to the Ikastola of Hendaia (Lapurdi north basque country).

In north basque country there are 30 "ikastola" in Seaska with 3.000 students. A Ikastola is a school where children can learn in "euskera" (basque language) almost all subjects (except english, french or spanish). In french state, public schools do not teach in basque. According to Hur Gorostiaga, Patrick Dallennes have used a law of 1850 to not give help.

In the past, Seaska have received money from different public institutions for the schools. So, according to that law "Seaska" schools must not receive help from institutions. According to him, if the schools do not receive help from public institutions, the %90 of basque schools in iparralde will be in danger.
