Xabier Lopez Peña relatives denounce the treatment that they received

According to naiz, members of Etxerat (the organization of basque political prisoners relatives), Herrira (the movement that fights in favour of prisoners rights), Jaiki Hadi (an association of doctors) and the lawyer Yolanda Molina talked with the press yesterday in Baiona (Lapurdi north basque country).

They denounced the treatment that Xabier Lopez Peña and their relatives received. Xabier Lopez, was moved to the hospital on 11th of March and his family was not informed until 2 weeks later. Besided, they did not receive any information of where is him or of his health. The prosecutor even said that "I am not going to loose my time with a murderer". Their relatives could not accompany him when he died. They achieved the permission when he was dead. They still have not seen his body.

In view of this situation, they are going to take legal action against Prison authorities.

Etxerat and Herrira have asked to french government a change in its policy with basque political prisoners. They are going to protest in north basque country next days.
