The assembly of young people in Lekeitio (Bizkaia south basque country) have decided to occupy a building property of the town hall. They have claimed the right of have housing. According to them, the neoliberalism has become the basic rights in products. The have also said that the government (that supposedly protects the people) are linked with economical powers: Making economical politics against people and supporting cuts in public services.
"More and more families have not any salaries. We can see it in Lekeitio people that do not have anything to eat, that can not pay the renting or the mortgage and live in the streets."
"Some months ago we face against an eviction. Now, we are protecting a person that can not pay the rent. That's why we have ocupied a building property of the town hall".
"If there is not a policy of public housing, the only alternative is ocupy empty buildings.
